The Esterhazy Singers – Carmina Burana – 7.30pm
The Esterhazy Singers will present a concert featuring Carl Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana’ and Ethel Smyth’s ‘Gloria’ from the Mass in D performed under the direction of our Musical Director, David Halstead. The concert will also include the premier of ‘Nox’ by Jan Rautio, arranged for two pianos and percussion. The choir will be accompanied on piano by Jan Rautio and Jennifer Carter. We would love to see you and to share our music and some refreshment at the magnificent Holy Trinity Church.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and there will be one interval. Tickets are £18 each or £10 for under 25s and are available for purchase in advance using the link on the right or on the door.

It's a theme that runs through every work on the bill, from Bach's much celebrated Chaconne to Viktor Ullmann's Symphony No. 2, a work by a composer who wrote it while imprisoned in Theresienstadt before he was sent to his death at Auschwitz.
