Sloane Square Choral Society, conducted by Oliver Lallemant, is looking forward to our Spring Concert on Sunday 19 March 2023 at 6pm. The centrepiece of the concert will be Mozart's sublime Requiem. Hailed by Betjeman as the Arts and Crafts cathedral, Holy Trinity Sloane Square provides the magnificent backdrop for the eclectic repertoire which kicks off the 40th anniversary season of the renowned Crouch End Festival Chorus.
This concert of a cappella works features Tallis’s glorious 40-part motet Spem in alium, the ethereal, lyrical Mass in G minor by Vaughan Williams, and Allegri’s mesmerising Miserere. The concert is completed by Rheinberger’s gentle lullaby Abendlied, and three pieces from the recently released Oxford Book of Choral Music by Black Composers.
